Meet Our Volunteers

Martha & Carol

When Martha and Carol volunteer at Fresh Harvest, we expect to hear laughter with great stories as we experience their energetic personalities.  These neighbors and friends, each residents of Douglas County for over 10 years, decided to volunteer as a way to spend time together and give back to the community. Carol discovered the opportunity on a local volunteer website and recruited Martha.  Martha, who is one of eleven children, feels a personal connection because there were times her family struggled financially growing up. This dynamic duo enjoy volunteering at Fresh Harvest because it is close to home, has flexible scheduling and a positive work environment. Martha said “I like the welcome sign with our names on it because we know you are expecting us!” The pair contribute by helping with many different tasks. Their favorite task is assembling Wellness Packs for at-risk youth. Martha and Carol are volunteers that add fun upbeat energy to Fresh Harvest’s team
