At Fresh Harvest Food Bank, we may seem small, but we are mighty! As food drives and shopping trips come in, some people are flabbergasted at the amount of food, clothes, books, and other items we go through in such a small facility. So where do we put it all?
When you walk into our doors, you will notice the pantry shelves, the clothes racks, and the bookcases — all with wheels. Why? First, we need to move the pantry shelves for distributions. This enables us to maximize our space to allow our registered families access to their groceries. With 65-75 families here during our distribution Saturdays, this helps us keep everyone comfortable and moving in an efficient manner. Same with our clothes and book racks. We move them out to make it easier on families to choose clothes and books.
Any back stock is stored in our warehouse to be accessed when we stock the “front of the house.”
Stop in anytime and we will show you around!
