From Valentine’s Day to Christmas…holidays are special

Why are holidays so special at Fresh Harvest Food Bank? Because holidays ARE special! They are magical, they represent our childhood. They are something to look forward to and to be cherished by everyone.

But think about it. Suddenly, you find yourself and your family in the middle of a crisis.

You lost your job. You lost a loved one. You lost your health. Holidays are now stressful. Your children feel that stress.

That’s why at Fresh Harvest Food Bank we work to make holidays less stressful for families in need. We celebrate all holidays. We have provided boxes of Valentines to the children in our program so that they can pass out Valentines to their classmates. We make sure that the moms and dads in our program are taken care of on Mother’s and Father’s Day. Our Thanksgiving and Holiday Wishes programs provide meals and presents to local families who would not be able to provide those cherished memories for their families.

Everyone deserves a break from their day-to-day stresses. We see it as our job to make sure that our neighbors in need are able to at least forget about their circumstances for a little bit, and enjoy life’s special moments.
